Year 5 and Year 6 world book day reading challenges
We hope you enjoy completing these challenges. Remember to complete all tasks to earn a free book! You should start the challenges on Monday the 15th of February and aim to finish on the 4th of March- World Book Day ! Free Books earned will be given out at school and all participants will receive a special certificate!
1.
Find a comfy spot and enjoy listening to this story.
Send in a photograph of you listening to the story and draw a picture inspired from a scene in the book for our gallery. Can you annotate the scene with your favourite descriptive/emotive passage from the text? Upload to the Google Drive folder here.
2.
Read the text for yourself, take care to examine the pictures carefully.
3.
Choose just one of the page spreads from the book and carry out a detailed written analysis using the questions as prompts. Take care with your presentation and upload to the Google Drive folder for our online gallery.

Give a brief spoken response to one of the other page spreads and record onto the Padlet here.
