Reading Comprehension
To support children’s understanding and ability to interpret what they have read, a variety of question types are used. These are placed into groups (Content Domains) which children will be assessed against. The information below gives examples of the different types of questions and may be useful when reading and discussing a book with your child. The questions are grouped using the Reading Family characters. Each character has a different focus in reading.
